Providing sustainable flood protection to Upper Garnock Valley.

Works included the construction of an earth dam to form a flood attenuation reservoir, on the River Garnock, north of Kilbirnie. The project also involved flood defence works in the Paddockholm area of Kilbirnie, on the Powgree Burn in Glengarnock and adjacent to the DSM plant in Dalry.

A sheet pile flood wall and other measures were installed around the Mill Park residential estate in Dalry.
