Design & build of a new facility for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of oil rigs and FPSOs.
Works included reconstruction of approximately 1km of combi-pile quay wall, 180m long solid finger quay and dredging of 82,418sqft which was used in land reclamation at the adjacent Invergordon Service Base project.
All works were completed within a live port environment with a tidal working range of approximately 5m rise and fall. Extensive coordination was required with both port and landside operations due to the adjacent operational dry dock, with large caisson gate, and business units within Nigg Energy Park. The site continued to operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year throughout the works and was supported by extensive on-site facilities including a two hundred and eighty person accommodation camp.
