Design & build of Ayrshire College Kilmarnock Campus providing a 4-storey learning block along with a 2-storey STEM block.
The new facility was to be a ‘beacon for Kilmarnock and beyond’, embodying the College’s culture of excellence, quality and sustainability.
The new campus provides vibrant, flexible spaces for learning and socialising for a diverse community of students ranging from 16 to 25 years old, some with specialist support needs.
New
Build
The four-storey 183,000sqft building provides all the facilities expected in a modern, state-of-the-art educational building with administrative and staff areas, teaching classrooms, HE and IT departments, technical workshops, music and drama, sports hall and MPH, changing rooms/showers, and a full-sized 3G soccer pitch.
The outdoor space was equally important, with the campus connecting with the wider public realm via a ‘public plaza’.
