Environmental mitigation works as part of the new DP World Port on the River Thames.
Works involved the creation of an environmental habitat and tidal salt marsh through the construction of a 2km long flood protection embankment inland of the existing defences.
Once completed, the existing Thames flood embankment was breached to allow the land to flood at high tide.
