Replacement of existing RoRo 4 hydraulic linkspan with a new floating linkspan providing a wider three-lane bridge accommodating vessels having a beam of up to 30.5m.
Works also included the removal of the existing linkspan and associated support dolphin, dredging to accommodate the new linkspan and installation of large diameter linkspan restraining pile.
As well as, demolition of existing berthing dolphin to berth 3 and replacement with large diameter monopiles, platforms and access walkways to accommodate longer vessels.
Works also included reinforced concrete soffit repairs to the cope beams to RoRo 4 berth, including the removal of old fenders and concrete cope, hydro demolition and shotcrete repairs followed by installation of new fenders and ladders over a 300m length.
