Design & build of Ayrshire College Kilmarnock Campus, involving the redevelopment of part of the former Diageo / Johnnie Walker Bottling Plant on Hill Street.
The four-storey 183,000sqft building provides all the facilitates expected in a modern, state of the art educational building with administrative and staff areas, teaching classrooms, HE and IT departments, technical workshops, music and drama, sports hall and MPH, changing rooms/showers, and a full sized 3G soccer pitch.
The site undertook various activities, led by our CCS Ambassador, to impact positively on the area and the surrounding community. Activities included twenty-one local workers employed, six work experience placements for out of work individuals, working with local Job Centre Plus along with facilitating four training courses on-site with thirty-four attendees and four supervisor training courses off-site. As well as, school visits, including local Onthank Primary School, Mount Carmel Primary School and Cairns Early Learning Centre.
