Design & build of Ayrshire College Kilmarnock Campus, involving the redevelopment of part of the former Diageo / Johnnie Walker Bottling Plant on Hill Street.

The four-storey 183,000sqft building provides all the facilitates expected in a modern, state of the art educational building with administrative and staff areas, teaching classrooms, HE and IT departments, technical workshops, music and drama, sports hall and MPH, changing rooms/showers, and a full sized 3G soccer pitch.

Community EngagementConsiderate Constructor’s Scheme

The site undertook various activities, led by our CCS Ambassador, to impact positively on the area and the surrounding community. Activities included twenty-one local workers employed, six work experience placements for out of work individuals, working with local Job Centre Plus along with facilitating four training courses on-site with thirty-four attendees and four supervisor training courses off-site. As well as, school visits, including local Onthank Primary School, Mount Carmel Primary School and Cairns Early Learning Centre.
