Supply Chain

McLaughlin & Harvey support the drive to reduce duplication and unnecessary paperwork in the Construction industry. We are using Constructionline, one of the UK's largest certification sources, to manage our supplier and subcontractor lists.

We also need to ensure that all our subcontractors have appropriate health & safety systems in place prior to appointment. We recommend that subcontractors have a valid SSIP certificate.

SSIP is an association of health & safety assessment schemes. They are supported by the HSE and accept that each other’s systems are of a good standard and in line with the CDM 2015 regulations. Through this “mutual recognition” SSIP are striving to remove the need for contractors and consultants to undergo multiple health and safety assessments. The aim is that you need only join the health and safety scheme of your choice to demonstrate you have statisifed health and safety requirements to “stage one” level. Please visit the SSIP website  for further details.

McLaughlin & Harvey appreciates that cash flow is the lifeblood of any business. We are an approved signatory of the Prompt Payment code, sponsored by the Department for Business Innovation & Skills and the Institute of Credit Management. We operate a Fair Payment Policy.
