Refurbishment and extension of Palace Theatre
The Palace Theatre and Grand Hall in Kilmarnock is currently undergoing extensive refurbishments on behalf of East Ayrshire Council and East Ayrshire Leisure Trust.
The project includes the construction of a new extension at the front of the existing building, incorporating a new café and bar, reception and ticket office and improved level access to both venues.
Both venues will benefit from extensive refurbishment internally and externally, including improvements to back-of-house facilities and stage, public areas and energy-efficient upgrades to existing heating and electrical systems.
The project is part of a wider Cultural Kilmarnock regeneration initiative and was awarded £20m from the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund.
The project is being delivered as part of the SCAPE Scotland framework.
