Health and Wellbeing Roadshow sees record uptake

Date Posted 19.01.26

Last summer, our YouMatter Health, Safety & Wellbeing Roadshow set off around the UK once again, visiting 19 different sites from Cambridge to Belfast and bringing vital health and wellbeing checks to colleagues, clients and subcontractors.

The results are now in, with more people than ever choosing to get on board our new, upgraded bus and take control of their health.

Occupational health practitioners from New Leaf met with 876 participants in 2025, compared to 707 in 2024 and 438 in 2023, demonstrating how engagement with the initiative continues to grow year on year.

The Health Check Point equipment, designed to calculate body composition, was used by 1,079 participants, an increase of 31% since 2024. This allows people to detect any issues and take action before they become too serious.

It was clear that some participants had made lifestyle changes since receiving their results last year, with referrals for blood glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol down 8.6%. We also saw many familiar faces whose statistics were moving in the right direction following advice given to them on the previous tour, and our focus on wider wellbeing initiatives throughout 2025.

With the development of serious health problems caused by lifestyle factors on the increase, we were pleased to see more people than ever getting involved in the initiative, whether by attending an appointment, using the Health Check Point equipment, having a stress-relieving massage or seeking mental health support.

By providing access to regular health checks and raising awareness of the importance of this, we can help our colleagues and wider supply chain identify early signs of poor health and make small changes which can have a big impact.
