Trinity by Breakthrough at Oxford Business Park is among the best of commercial buildings in the UK, after receiving a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) Outstanding certification.

The certification is evidence of the building’s sustainability across 10 core categories:

3. waste
4. pollution
5. transport
6. materials
7. health and well-being
8. management
9. land use and ecology
10. innovation

With only 1% of new non-domestic properties achieving the highest ‘Outstanding’ rating, the six-storey, 276,000 sq ft building sets a standard for quality and intentional design in purpose-built life science spaces.

The development scored highly across the board for BREEAM, including 100% in three categories: management, transport, and land use and ecology.

The building accommodates containment level 2 laboratories, research facilities, and office space, alongside a range of curated amenities, including a wellness centre, a gym, a café, and extensive cycle storage.

Last month, McLaughlin & Harvey took home the award for Best New Building at the Construction News & Property Week Life Sciences, Tech & Research Clusters Awards 2026 for the delivery of Trinity by Breakthrough.
