Construction of new waste transfer station

Geron Way Waste Transfer Station is a £33 million construction project.

McLaughlin & Harvey will deliver the new 9000sqm waste transfer station for the London Borough of Barnet Council and North London Waste Authority (NLWA) to serve seven boroughs.

Forming part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme, Waste Transfer Station will process 195,000 tonnes of black bag, mixed recycling, food and street cleaning waste each year.

Project works include piled foundations, steel frame superstructure and external landscaping to create a BREEAM Very Good building that enhances services provided by the NLWA. The new facility aims to significantly minimise the impact of operations on local residents as well as enhancing biodiversity.

This project is an example of the capability and expertise McLaughlin & Harvey have in working with our clients to deliver excellent infrastructure that enhances local communities.
