Extension of existing Material Research Facility (MRF) to provide increased capability for scientists to process and characterise special material.
The works will double the current equipment capacity and enable air-lock truck deliveries to the operational areas.
The extension, designed by Monica Jong (Head of Operations - MRF) will allow for additional industrial and academic research to analyse the effects of irradiation on materials.
This project is being delivered as part of the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Framework Construction Works & Associated Services.
