Geron Way Waste Transfer Station is the latest project to commence in McLaughlin & Harvey’s growing portfolio of projects across London and the South East. Works include piled foundations, steel frame superstructure and external landscaping to create a BREEAM Very Good building that enhances services provided by the NLWA. The new facility aims to significantly minimise the impact of operations on local residents as well as enhancing biodiversity.

“We are delighted to officially announce the start of construction at Geron Way Waste Transfer Station. This scheme is a testament to our team’s expertise and our commitment to working with clients like the NLWA to deliver excellent, future-proofed infrastructure that benefits the local community. As we continue to develop projects in the region, securing strategic work in the capital, particularly on essential infrastructure like this, is a key priority for our business.”

Martin Keys, Operations Director at McLaughlin & Harvey

“This new Waste Transfer Station will provide important waste and recycling services for Barnet and other boroughs across North London, while playing an important role in facilitating the wider transformation of the area. The contemporary design will ensure we meet the highest sustainability standards, enhance biodiversity, and include modern design features that control both noise and odour.”

Councillor Alan Schneiderman, Barnet Council Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate Change and Cricklewood Ward Member
