Philip Cheevers

Group Chief Executive

Philip joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 1998, and is Group Chief Executive.

He graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1984, and has gained extensive experience of large retail and office developments, stadia, hotel and leisure complexes as well as health and education projects. He has a wealth of experience in working on remodelling older buildings as well as new build schemes, and is familiar with different forms of contract, procurement routes and construction methods.

Philip maintains a ‘hands-on’ involvement in all the day-to-day activities of the company.

He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of both the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Structural Engineers.

Paul Griffen

Managing Director

Paul is Managing Director of the Glasgow office. Paul has over 25 years’ experience and has successfully delivered projects across a wide range of sectors throughout the UK including retail, leisure, stadia, industrial and education.

Paul is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

David O’Neill

Group Finance Director

David has over 20 years' experience in the finance sector. He joined McLaughlin & Harvey as Group Finance Director at the beginning of 2015.

David is a Chartered Accountant.

Richard Cheevers

WorkSpace Director

Richard joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2007, and has extensive experience in both the civil engineering and construction industries.

Richard is WorkSpace Director. WorkSpace have expertise in interior fit-out, construction, commercial furniture, specialist joinery, and hard facilities management.

Douglas McCusker

Construction Director

With over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, Douglas is a Construction Director.

Douglas has a strong technical and practical knowledge of a wide variety of construction techniques in the education, residential, leisure, commercial and health sectors.

Michael Kieran

Construction Director

Michael joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 1997 and is a Construction Director. Michael has experience in the management of construction projects particularly within the education and commercial sectors.

Michael is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Seamus Devlin

Civil Engineering Director

Seamus is the Director of Civil Engineering. He joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2018 and has over 25 years extensive experience in successfully managing the delivery of projects across a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, roads, railways, flood alleviation, marine, environmental, utilities and water.

Seamus is a Chartered Civil Engineer.

Chris Collins

Pre-construction Director

Chris joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2005, and is Pre-construction Director.

Chris oversees the procurement and pre-construction aspects of all projects and leads a team of Submissions Managers, Estimators and Buyers.

Martin Smith

Pre-construction Director

Martin joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2014. Martin leads a team of Submission Managers, Estimators and Planners.

Martin is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

David Turtle

Commercial Director

David is Quantity Surveying Director and leads a team of Quantity Surveyors. He has considerable experience across many sectors and a a broad-based knowledge of both pre and post-contract quantity surveying.

David has expertise input into value engineering, the management of subcontracts, cost capturing and reporting, change control mechanisms and commercial management.

David is a chartered quantity surveyor.

Neil Jamieson

Commercial Director

Neil has over 25 years' experience in the construction industry, and is Commercial Director.

Neil has extensive knowledge of various standard and bespoke forms of contract and procurement routes, having worked with a number of both public and private clients during his career.

Leanne Milligan

Financial Director & Company Secretary

Leanne is Financial Director and Company Secretary. Leanne joined the business over 15 years ago and has experience in construction, industrial products and waste management.

Leanne is a Chartered Accountant.

David Stobie

Group Business Development Director

David joined McLaughlin & Harvey in 2015. David manages all Group wide business development and account management activities.

David is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
