McLaughlin & Harvey, in conjunction with Queen's University Belfast, are world record holders through the creation and installation of the world’s largest Meccano bridge.
Following a successful trial erection at our head office, we worked with the students to arrange delivery to site and assemble the bridge components on land.
It was then lifted into position over the dock before being unveiled to the public and confirmed as a world record breaker.
The cable-stayed bridge was 89ft long with 20ft towers, and 11,000 pieces of Meccano.
