Design & build scheme providing a new berth to support the introduction of new ferries by Stenaline to the VT4 terminal in Belfast Harbour.
Modifications to the existing terminal included 110,000m3 of dredging to the approach channel and berth, with dredge material disposed at sea.
Scour protection to the dredged areas included 120,000m3 of rock armour and an 8,000m2 concrete mattress.
Two open piled forward lifting dolphins were installed for the new linkspan structure.
All works were completed in a live operational ferry terminal, with works completed between ferry sailings.
