Internal refurbishment of the existing Queen Square Theatres building, which remains operational and occupied throughout the project.
Works consisted of the strip-out of the existing Bernard Sunley Ward on Level 2 of Chandler Wings, and refurbishment of two new operating theatres and ancillary spaces.
This included the provision of new plant to serve the space located on a raised deck externally.
The existing four theatre complex on Level 1 was refurbished in its existing configuration with elements of major alteration to provide an enlarged recovery space.
