Construction and fit-out of a new primary and secondary school along with provision for early years education and a wing for community learning facilities.
The new campus provides general classrooms, practical teaching areas including science laboratories, art, technology, IT, HE, drama hall, sports hall, fitness suite, offices, multi-use accommodation, and lecture facilities.
Internally, our specialist joinery workshop supplied and fitted door sets, skirtings and architraves.
Feature of ProjectAcoustic Design
This project had specific acoustic design intent, and we worked alongside the Client and design team to ensure strict compliance with the requirements of BB93 ‘Acoustic Design of Schools’. Noise transfer between classrooms was a key issue, and several techniques were employed to mitigate noise pollution into other areas of the building. A full acoustics test was conducted at the end of the project, and all performance requirements were achieved.
