Construction of a visually striking 49m arch truss pedestrian and cycle bridge over the River Strule, including 500m of riverside pedestrian / cycle path, lighting, and associated civil / landscaping works in an environmentally sensitive area.
Works were carried in close proximity to Hunter Crescent housing estate which contains sixty-nine properties.
Feature of ProjectTraffic Management
A traffic management plan was established in agreement with residents. All site deliveries were restricted to outside the busy drop off and pick up times. Vehicular access was only available from one residential road, and therefore we needed to develop permanent and temporary access proposals in conjunction with the local roads authority.
