The development comprises 15 individual retail units of varying sizes with a self-contained management suite. The total net area is 139,931sqft.
Also includes customer car parking facilities to cater for 366 car parking spaces, including 18 accessible and 44 cycle parking spaces, and a service road to the rear accompanied by soft landscaping of the area.
Two entrances were provided to the shopping park, a main consumer entrance and an additional service entrance accessing the rear of the retail units. The construction of a retaining wall to the rear of the site was also required.
Our Frameworks division also supplied the curtain walling, structural glass assemblies, glass canopies, doors and auto doors.
The project team made a great effort to support and interact with the nearby primary school. Working closely with a teacher at the school, 60 year five children were given an insight into different careers available within the construction industry. The children received talks and demonstrations from a range of people from the industry including an architect, a structural engineer, a quantity surveyor, a project manager, a site engineer, a joiner and a bricklayer.
