Allander Leisure and Adult Resource Centre

Construction of a new sports and leisure facility and bespoke adult resource centre.

Visitors to the new Allander can enjoy a range of leisure facilities including a 25-metre, eight-lane swimming pool, 20m training pool with movable floor, sauna and steam room and hydrotherapy pool.  Sports facilities include a gym and high & low-intensity studios, a state-of-the-art spin room, an eight-court games hall and two squash courts. 

In addition, there is a new support facility for adults with learning disabilities - replacing Kelvinbank Resource Centre in Kirkintilloch.  The facility includes quiet spaces, dementia, rebound, sensory and physiotherapy treatment rooms, arts & crafts, dance and music rooms.

Phase two of the project involves the demolition of the old centre and the construction of a new 'Sports Dome', offering two football pitches and a tennis court.  This phase is expected to be completed by autumn 2023.
