We are delighted to have received excellent feedback on our recent Client Satisfaction Surveys with East Dunbartonshire Council.
Allander Leisure and Day Care Centre and Boclair Academy are both currently under construction for East Dunbartonshire Council.
McLaughlin & Harvey has been on-site at Allander Leisure Centre since January this year. Works include the construction of a new sports and leisure facility, as well as a bespoke resource centre.
The new leisure facility will include an eight-lane swimming pool and teaching pool, a sauna and steam room, and a hydrotherapy pool. The development will also offer a new gym and spin studios, an eight-court games hall and two squash courts, as well as a 'Sportsdrome' - with two football pitches and a tennis court.
We are also currently working at Boclair Academy in Bearsden. The new two-storey building will deliver a state-of-the-art learning environment for 1,050 pupils which will feature a large entrance atrium, flexible learning zones, performance spaces and dining areas. There will also be improved outdoor sport facilities alongside a fully integrated landscape design which will include car and cycle parking bays.
Both projects are being delivered as part of Scape Group National Construction Major Works - UK framework. Scape is a public-sector organisation, dedicated to creating ongoing efficiency and social value via the built environment.
McLaughlin & Harvey has scored a fantastic 9/10 for our performance so far and the Scape Framework received an excellent 10/10.
Thomas Glen, Depute Chief Executive - Place, Neighbourhood and Corporate Assets, said: “The Scape Framework facilitates great collaboration with the contractor, which in this case is McLaughlin & Harvey. Their pre-construction team have performed well and aligned themselves very closely with Council teams - engaging with us really well. They have made every effort to manage expectations and have been up front and honest with us."
We look forward to continuing to build and nurture our relationship with East Dunbartonshire Council throughout the delivery of these projects.
