McLaughlin & Harvey is participating in this year’s Open Doors event.
Open Doors offers a unique chance for the public to see behind the scenes of major ‘live’ construction sites across England, Scotland and Wales.
Participating in a pilot scheme, McLaughlin & Harvey will open the doors of our Clydeside Distillery site in Glasgow, allowing members of the public to discover how the building and structure is constructed and find out about the diverse range of skills and professions needed on-site.
The Clydeside Distillery project encompasses two key strands – the restoration of Glasgow’s iconic pump house building, which sits between the SECC and the Riverside Museum and which will host the visitor centre – and the creation of a modern distillery to sit alongside it. As well as a visitor centre, the revamped site will also feature a café, shop and offer distillery tours. Open Doors visitors will see the old pump house restored with fit-out progressing and the new distillery with the plant installed.
Doors will open on Saturday 1 April, and bookings are now open.
