McLaughlin & Harvey’s Civil Engineering Department has been assisting Queen's University Belfast with their project to construct the world’s largest meccano structure.
A trial erection was carried out at our head office in Mallusk earlier in the summer to test the concept and informally secure the Guinness World Record.
It is now planned to reconstruct the bridge at the Clarendon dock in Belfast Harbour, to publically unveil the structure and formally secure the world record.
The event will take place at Clarendon Dock Belfast on Saturday 19th September from 12noon – 3pm with Guinness World Record judges confirming the record.
It should be a great day for all and would be great to see you there!
