McLaughlin & Harvey are currently on-site at Haybrook College with construction works continuing to progress well.
As part of this project and our on-going commitment to engaging with key stakeholders and local communities, this site is registered with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). This voluntary scheme is aimed at improving the image of construction sites and ensuring that main contractors impact positively, act considerately and leave a legacy for the local community.
Putting our CCS aspirations for this project into action, we were delighted to work alongside the college to facilitate an exciting Time Capsule Burial event on site.
This ceremony took place on 24th July 2013 and saw our team work alongside Haybrook College staff to bury the custom-made capsule during our site works. The contents of the capsule included various items associated with the college, the project and McLaughlin & Harvey. Some of these items included a copy of the day’s local newspaper, photographs, a McLaughlin & Harvey hi-vis vest, documents from the college and drawings of the project. It will provide an opportunity for reflection and excitement in years to come when the capsule is unearthed.
The capsule was buried by Helen Huntley and Mick Hore from Haybrook College, our Site Manager Mark Brady and our Environmental Officer Charlene Jones.
