McLaughlin & Harvey has completed the new STEM Building at Fife College’s Levenmouth Campus.

The building is the first of its kind in Scotland. Situated alongside the new Levenmouth Academy, the facility will offer pupils, students and the community a wealth of opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.

Janet McCauslin, Director of Projects, Fife College said: “It’s a really exciting project, it’s one of the first we believe, in Scotland where the school and the college are working together in partnership to design a curriculum that flows efficiently, and we have designed the building around that so that young people that are studying in High School that want to pursue a vocational work base can. It’s a really exciting campus, designed very flexibly and we hope that it’s going to become a real hub for the community of Levenmouth.”

There will also be the opportunity to study Hair and Beauty, Hospitality, Care and Computing amongst other subjects, plus confidence building and CV writing courses.

Fife College Principle, Hugh Logan, described what the new facility means to the community: “The community of Levenmouth deserves nothing but the best and we feel that with this building we have got the best.”

The college has now opened its doors with the first students starting their courses this week.
